MAREN JENSEN
Maren Jensen (born 1988, Portland, Oregon) lives and works in Portland, Oregon, returning to her hometown after over a decade in Providence, RI and the broader New England area. She has been a member of the Dirt Palace, As220, and other semi-functional repurposed artist spaces, and has been deeply formed by the build-something-from-nothing mentality of the tight-knit Providence arts community during her time there. After studying weaving and ceramics with Andrea Zittel at her experimental living site, A-Z West, Maren returned to Portland where she has been living and working since late 2019. She was recently awarded a Make|Learn|Build grant from the Regional Arts and Culture Council (RACC).
